You may be right.

I think we’re in a time in which we will be able to understand human nature better than ever, because it is being amplified.

So perhaps we will discover that humans are so flawed that we cannot create a better world, and in fact we will destroy ourselves.

Or perhaps we will discover that humanity can rise and grow to create extraordinary, wonderful things together that we have never imagined.

We might find out soon.

I’m pessimistic due to human factors.

Control freaks (and quite literally sociopaths in many cases) are drawn to positions of power over others – company directors, politics etc.

Without doubt people in power will use technology to control crowds – not the other way around.

The Snowden revelations show what’s really going on and I bet its just the tip of the iceberg – old news.

I have a glimmer of optimism about what the long tail could achieve but the struggle between powerful few and the exploited many is one that has bee told through all of history – maybe its just part human nature and the human condition.
