What concerns me though is the serving my information that addresses my current interest is tantamount to performing a portion however insignificant of my &quot;information filtering&quot; function. This is a key part of who and what I am.
In the short term this might make me more effective. In the middle and long term however, I wonder if this would not open the door to a new dependancy, a loss of know how similar to our contemporary inability to manufacture (produce) basic crafts.
This could be a problem. Maybe it isn&#039;t.
But our ability to filter, organize and prioritize information is a key skill and I would be loathe to surrender without clear tracability as to how the information was collected and what context.
This is too important to mess up. In fact, the ultimate question might just be, &quot;at what cost progress?&quot;.
