Hi Beth, what I wrote about here I uncovered simply from my blogs stats engine (I primarily use Clicky) and Technorati. I also hope to create some tools at some point, but that may take a little while as I have a few other things on my plate at the moment :-)

Too quick on the submit button there .. one other thought. Now that you’ve unpacked the role that influencers and amplifiers play – and how different web based apps with social networking or network effect features contribute … How do you make that information actionable? Had it informed what you will write about? Does it inform any strategies?
Well, back to researching social media metrics …

This is a really useful example of an analysis of the traffic that social media generates. Can you share what tools you used to facilitate your analysis? I’m guessing you used a combination of “ego feeds” and analytics programs such as google analytics or your blog’s stat package.
