Thanks Maree. Yes, it’s one of the most fundamental – and polarizing – questions of our time. One of the reasons I’m an optimist is that it is more fun :-) (as well as more likely to lead to better outcomes…)

I agree, the trailer is amazing, and I’ll be seeing the film too. The unimaginable potential was also addressed by Peter Diamandis in an earlier TED talk that day – positioned against a talk by Peter Gilding about how the earth is ‘full’ and we need to take action now to deal with a global economy that is bigger than the planet. The two talks were positioned as two sides of the same kind – are we doomed or do we have a future of abundance? Here’s a write up on it
